Our Mission
Rate Hall exists to make comparing insurance rates fast, transparent, and free of the friction that usually comes with shopping for coverage. We don't sell insurance and we don't work for any one carrier — we help you see what a licensed marketplace of providers can offer, side by side, so you can decide whether you're overpaying.
How We Earn Money
Rate Hall is free to use. We earn a referral fee when we connect you with the insurance marketplace and its participating providers — we are paid by them, not by you, and never in a way that changes what you see or which option is presented first. Any figures shown on the site are illustrative only, are not a quote, and are not guaranteed; actual rates are set by the provider you're matched with.
Security & Data Ethics
We do not sell your information to data brokers, and we do not resell it beyond the licensed marketplace and its participating providers named in our Privacy Policy — the same parties you provide express consent to be contacted by before your request is ever sent. We collect only what's needed to match your request (contact details, ZIP code, and the basic coverage questions on the form) and we never ask for sensitive information like a Social Security number or a driver's license number.
Licensing
Rate Hall is a comparison and referral service, not an insurance company, agency, or broker. We do not quote, sell, or bind insurance policies, and we do not hold, or claim to hold, an insurance producer or agency license in any state. Submitting a request connects you with a licensed insurance marketplace and its participating providers, who make any coverage or pricing decisions. This is consistent with how state law treats a lead referral service that does not quote, compare, or recommend specific policies (for example, Texas treats this kind of referral activity as exempt from producer licensing under Tex. Ins. Code § 4001.051(d)).
